The Balinese Room fragrance, part of the Galveston Collection, is named after the iconic and historic famous 1930's--40's Galveston nightclub operated by the Maceo brothers  often featuring reknown entertainers.

This fragrance, featuring hints of Tuscan leather, luxurious sandalwood, and Oudh, harmonized with Iris, Cardamom, and Lemon, is intended to  capture the aura of the Balinese Room during its prime. The ambiance of the Balinese Room during its heyday evokes images of an opulent setting, with patrons dressed to the hilt.

The Balinese Room was  built on a pier stretching 600 feet from the Galveston Seawall over the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Operated by Sicilian barbers-turned-bootleggers Sam and Rosario Maceo, the Balinese Room (also known as Maceo's Grotto) was an elite spot in the 1930s and 1940s (Galveston's open era), featuring entertainment by Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, George Burns, the Marx Brothers and other top acts of the day. Patrons of the private club included Howard Hughes, Sophie Tucker and wealthy oil barons from nearby Houston. For decades a dance hall and illegal casino, the Balinese Room was remodeled and reopened in 2001 without a casino. The structure was destroyed by Hurricane Ike on  September 13, 2008 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
